I would Love Your Support!

These past 6 years of Bneato have been such a wonderful experience and I couldn’t have done it without you (Bneato clients, Boot Camp attendees, family, friends and fans)! That’s why I’d love to feature YOU on my website in a group photo. My friend, Laure Joliet, will be taking a group photo in the Bneato spirit (think fun) and I’d love to have you stop by. The picture will be taken on Friday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m. It will only take about 10-15 minutes of your time and I won’t tell a soul that you took off work early for an early start to your Memorial Day Weekend!!
What: Bneato Group Photo (will be put on the Bneato website)

When: Friday, May 25th @ 2:00 pm

Where: Community Room of United Methodist Church (at Reservoir and Alvarado in Echo Park)

Think: Bright, solid tops, stripes, polka dots (blues, reds, greens, yellows, purples work great).

Spread the word and RSVP if you can make it!

There will be treats for everyone + organizing goodies for the first folks to RSVP!

how to organize your jewelry… Bneato on FabSugar

May 3rd, 2012

was thrilled when PopSugar asked me back into the studio—this time… to organize jewelry! there are so many ways to tackle this fun category and with this space, our options were endless (as we had drawer, surface and wall space to work with). decided to ‘go vertical’ and hang the necklaces using 3M hooks by Command. lined the drawers with decorative paper and used lots of clear drawer organizers from the container store. you’ll have to watch the quick video to see the kitchen item we repurposed….

Cannon Safe got Bneato’d

May 2nd, 2012

you guys are not gonna believe what i’ve been working on since March! okay, maybe you will but i keep pinching myself. Cannon Safe called me up right before my big u.s. tour and asked if i’d come out to their headquarters to talk shop (and all things safe). they are known for creating gun safes (and are maxed out with organizers for all things firearm). but they were looking to debut a new sort of safe that appealed to the organized family. so i literally got to rethink (and design) the interior of their safe. i also sourced out the job and had it built to our specifications. the only part i’m not responsible for are the black pockets on the bottom half of the door. not wild about them but hey, it’s a prototype and i’m sure things will change.

picture of the safe at Cannon on the day i delivered the interior. so satisfying to see the project come full circle.

my favorite part—the pull out floor! heavier items are a breeze to take out as you don’t have to reach in—as the floor comes to you!

kitschy kitchen hooks

April 17th, 2012

spotted the online store, gretel, via stylist this morning and had to take a peek. fell in love with these hooks—not to mention their mantra on all things home,

We do believe in love at first sight (impulse buys), but we don’t believe in excess. Gretel’s collection is carefully curated and uncluttered, so that your home can be too.

now i just have to decide which color i like better… black or white? great hostess gift for the cook in your life (which will pair up nicely with yesterday’s culinary inspired treat).

search your books via EYB

April 17th, 2012

my client turned me onto EYB (aka eat your books) yesterday and i couldn’t be more thrilled to be in the know. they tout it as a “search engine for your cookbooks,” which is pretty freaking cool. and even though my collection of cookbooks consists of a measly bunch that add up to three, most of my clients would greatly benefit from this digital service. how does it work, you ask? a $2.50 monthly fee gets your entire library of books on your ‘digital shelf’. that way, you can search for the best chicken recipe at the drop of a hat. you can do a test run for free which allows for 5 books to see if you want to upgrade. i also think this would make a great gift to the chefs in your life…

just in case you missed it…

ixxi: catalog your collection with this decorative wall system

April 10th, 2012

okay. so apparently this isn’t brand new but i just heard about it so let’s pretend that it is, shall we? all i keep thinking is how cool it would be to catalog children’s artwork, my beau’s t-shirt collection, childhood toys (basically anything you can’t bear to part with). by showing off the collection, you can donate the items, therefore freeing up space in your home!!! you can choose from different sizes with a wall system of 50 images starting around $115. not bad since freeing up closet space is PRICELESS. oh yea, watch this 1-minute video where they show you how it works and the easy installation process.

can i get a garage up in here?!

April 3rd, 2012

we have a garage. it’s a teeny tiny little thing that barely fits my scion. but if the landlord ever wanted to invest in these monkey bars, we could house the beau’s extensive collection of memorabilia (i know). the above video is short and mesmerizing for the organized set. i found out about this company because they came to NAPO conference this year (looking forward to testing them out one of these days).

pliio = folding envy

March 28th, 2012

i told you guys about pliio last year after i got back from NAPO 2011 conference, saying that i’d alert you to when it’s available to the public. well… now it is. watch the video above and be amazed. i’m in love—like for reals. you can grab your own pack over on the HSN and test out a bunch for yourself.

simple and affordable pot rack… can you dig it?

March 27th, 2012

i was hanging with my gal pal, abby, before i left town and noticed the pot rack in her kitchen. and while i’ve always noticed it, i guess i really paid attention to it this time. probably because abby moved her office into her kitchen so we  now spend more time in there chatting and hanging out. hers was a gift from her brother found at bed bath & beyond but apparently they don’t carry the line anymore. i did find it online at wal-mart and amazon and really find it very stylish. if i had pots & pans to display, i’d definitely go for this model.

p.s. it’s affordable. like for reals.
